Hit by a car at 8 weeks old

How could this happen? An 8 week old pup being hit by a car. This sadly happens often when dogs are allowed loose. Little Hunter arrived by plane Wednesday night and went straight to DMV, Lachine. We didn’t know how bad his injuries were. As soon as he arrived he was examined by a emergency Veterinarian. His digits were crushed and his arm was already badly infected. Bacteria had already set in and his little arm was extremely swollen. After being examined by Dr Gatineau, we were told that the digits could not be repaired and his arm needed to be amputated to save his life from the bacterial Infection. Yesterday little Hunter became 3 legged pup. Not the best for a dog but he is alive. He has been in ICU and being treated diligently with antibiotics. Now he learns to walk on 3 legs but his expenses are very highly! This was a very difficult surgery because of the infection. We now again faced with a very high bill of over $3,500. Hunter is still at DMV! Today August 25 he is hanging on and a lot more comfortable. Pls consider donating to help us with littl Hunter’s medical bills.
