WEST ISLAND RESCUES WORK TOGETHER!

Photos courtesy of Susan Fischer at Simple Photos

Pat and Pierre, you came through for the dogs again. You are truly wonderful - THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU. It went extremely well. Thank you to all the volunteers who came out to help and to Linda, Kaitlyn and Robert for transporting dogs to Animatch! A HUGE THANK YOU! to Maria - you are sooo patient with us!!! Thanks so much to Pierrefonds Animal Hospital for allowing us to invade the clinic with 23 dogs!!! Each volunteer had their own special dog ! The Japanese Chi is going out to foster - if it works with her dogs - she has a home with one of the techs! She has a serious neurological problems and cataracts....... Dogs went to: Animatch, Kiko, and Refuge AMR . Ours are still at Pierrefonds!!! We were on CTV news ! I asked them to mention the other rescues by name. They interviewed Maria, Pat and myself. Now the works begins with these dogs! They have their freedom from pumping pups.

Rosie’s Survivors Fund

Max

Max was flown to Montreal to save his life and relieve his pain as he was very painful after being hit. Max was hit by a snowmobile in the North. There are no vets in the far North to treat a dog so the owners do what they can for the dogs. On arrival at our vets, they found that he had fractured bones in his foot. He was not neutered yet either. So Max was neutered and a cast was put on his leg which will remain from 4 to 6 weeks. Donations again have helped save Max as in the North he would not have received any medical care.
