About Sneakers

🐾🐾🐾 No longer accepting applications for the puppies.

Since you’re reading this, you’re obviously looking for a new best friend—and, hey, so am I!

I’m approximately 6 weeks old and that’s me in the picture with the silky, soft fur in a lab shepherd body.
My perfect match would be someone who loves dogs, home most of the day, willing to clean up my pees and poops and will take me to positive training puppy classes. i will need to keep Social meeting new friend dogs. Right now my current abode is with my litter mates in a caring foster home! You may hear me crying and barking at first but once I get used to living without my littermates - I should stop crying…..

This organization is run entirely by volunteers and we try our best to save as many homeless dogs as possible. Since there are only a few volunteers, please understand that we are unable to answer phone calls about the animals. The first step is to fill out an adoption application which you can find at: www.rosieanimaladoption.org . You will be contacted only if you are a suitable match. Rosie Animal Adoption does not have a shelter where you can come and meet the dogs. All showings are by appointment after your application has been approved, or at adoption clinics. If you have any questions, please .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address). All family members must be present at time of adoption. Please note, we do not adopt strays to families with children under 12.

Adoptions

If you adopt from Rosie, your dog will be vet checked, vaccinated for DHPP and Rabies (if the dog is over 4 months), given a treatment for fleas and parasites as well as spayed or neutered before adoption. Our adoption fee is $550, $450 for dogs of 8 and 9 years old and $300 for 10 years old and older.

Surrenders

Here at Rosie Animal Adoption, we understand that the decision to give up a family pet is not always an easy one and that the dog's best interests are always of paramount importance. Whether you have a family pet or a stray to surrender, please be aware that there are many unscrupulous people who are always on the lookout for unaltered dogs to breed strictly for profit. Dogs kept for this purpose, be it by a “backyard breeder” or “puppy miller,” are usually kept in inhumane conditions that are worse than you can imagine. We get many calls from people who are “in a hurry” to re-home their dogs, claiming that they simply cannot wait. With the increasing number of homeless dogs in the province of Quebec , our resources are always stretched to the limit and we do not always have immediate openings. We would ask that you please be patient when contacting our volunteers to surrender a dog.

We will do our best to help you as quickly as we can, and may also be able to refer you to another group that we are affiliated with, but the most important message here is to proceed very cautiously if you are giving away or selling your dog to someone who may be portraying a private individual. The best thing you can do is to be sure to have your pet spayed or neutered and the worse thing you can do is offer an unaltered pet “free to a good home.” We have seen what can happen.
