Princess the Labrador mix

About Princess

Princess was surrendered to Rosie in order to find her a forever home. While Princess is a super sweet dog she is also very shy. It has been quite a change in her life to be surrendered to Rosie. She is dog selective - she will actually need the companionship of another dog in her new home. She is clean in the house. She has been with many dogs and seems happiest when she is in this situation. Princess will be spayed this week. She has been vaccinated and Heartworm and Lymes negative. No messages for this dog please. Only the right match will be contacted!

Surrenders

Here at Rosie Animal Adoption, we understand that the decision to give up a family pet is not always an easy one and that the dog's best interests are always of paramount importance. Whether you have a family pet or a stray to surrender, please be aware that there are many unscrupulous people who are always on the lookout for unaltered dogs to breed strictly for profit. Dogs kept for this purpose, be it by a “backyard breeder” or “puppy miller,” are usually kept in inhumane conditions that are worse than you can imagine. We get many calls from people who are “in a hurry” to re-home their dogs, claiming that they simply cannot wait. With the increasing number of homeless dogs in the province of Quebec , our resources are always stretched to the limit and we do not always have immediate openings. We would ask that you please be patient when contacting our volunteers to surrender a dog.

We will do our best to help you as quickly as we can, and may also be able to refer you to another group that we are affiliated with, but the most important message here is to proceed very cautiously if you are giving away or selling your dog to someone who may be portraying a private individual. The best thing you can do is to be sure to have your pet spayed or neutered and the worse thing you can do is offer an unaltered pet “free to a good home.” We have seen what can happen.
