Noah the Labrador mix

About Noah

Noah arrived from a Northern community 2 Weeks ago with 5 brothers and sisters. His Mom is very much Lab. Dad Unknown.

What you need to know about puppies. Puppies may engage in play biting and chew furniture or other household items. Joining an positive obedience class is best for pups! We have a discount with 2 schools.

A eight week old will need to go out and eliminate approximately every three hours during the day – however, a puppy must also be supervised continuously when you’re together until he can hold his bladder and bowels and eliminate in the chosen area (crate training will help speed up this process). You will have accidents in the house for sure. Will you or someone else be able to come home during the day to let your puppy outside? At 8 weeks can only be left alone for short periods.

You will need to wake up earlier in the mornings to let your puppy out. Your new pup may scream and cry at first in their cage alone. Better to keep cage in your bedroom and reassure him or her.

You are raising a puppy during its critical socialization period – if you spend little time at home and the puppy is not adequately socialized during this time you can contribute to future behaviour problems including fear and/or aggression.

It is important as well to allow another well balanced vaccinated pup or adult play with your dog!

Only the right match will be contacted as we already know we will be inundated with applications.

adoption fee is $750. $200. is reimbursed after spay/neuter at 5 months without exception. Shortage of vetenarians for spays/neuters right now.

Surrenders

Here at Rosie Animal Adoption, we understand that the decision to give up a family pet is not always an easy one and that the dog's best interests are always of paramount importance. Whether you have a family pet or a stray to surrender, please be aware that there are many unscrupulous people who are always on the lookout for unaltered dogs to breed strictly for profit. Dogs kept for this purpose, be it by a “backyard breeder” or “puppy miller,” are usually kept in inhumane conditions that are worse than you can imagine. We get many calls from people who are “in a hurry” to re-home their dogs, claiming that they simply cannot wait. With the increasing number of homeless dogs in the province of Quebec , our resources are always stretched to the limit and we do not always have immediate openings. We would ask that you please be patient when contacting our volunteers to surrender a dog.

We will do our best to help you as quickly as we can, and may also be able to refer you to another group that we are affiliated with, but the most important message here is to proceed very cautiously if you are giving away or selling your dog to someone who may be portraying a private individual. The best thing you can do is to be sure to have your pet spayed or neutered and the worse thing you can do is offer an unaltered pet “free to a good home.” We have seen what can happen.
