Marble the Golden Poodle X

About Marble

COURTESY POST***

Loves other dogs ✅ Great off leash ✅ Clean in the house & comfortable in a crate ✅ Has a history of snapping when uncertain: No children in the house 🛑 walks with gentle leader 🛑 Wow what a great dog! That’s the consensus of everyone who meets Marble! He really just needs the right family where his confidence can grow! Marble is working on his leash reactivity with his foster family. He’s learning cars aren’t as exciting as the person holding the treats. He’s such a smart boy learning is fun and exciting for him. He was also groomed this week so we can finally see his beautiful eyes 🥰

Surrenders

Here at Rosie Animal Adoption, we understand that the decision to give up a family pet is not always an easy one and that the dog's best interests are always of paramount importance. Whether you have a family pet or a stray to surrender, please be aware that there are many unscrupulous people who are always on the lookout for unaltered dogs to breed strictly for profit. Dogs kept for this purpose, be it by a “backyard breeder” or “puppy miller,” are usually kept in inhumane conditions that are worse than you can imagine. We get many calls from people who are “in a hurry” to re-home their dogs, claiming that they simply cannot wait. With the increasing number of homeless dogs in the province of Quebec , our resources are always stretched to the limit and we do not always have immediate openings. We would ask that you please be patient when contacting our volunteers to surrender a dog.

We will do our best to help you as quickly as we can, and may also be able to refer you to another group that we are affiliated with, but the most important message here is to proceed very cautiously if you are giving away or selling your dog to someone who may be portraying a private individual. The best thing you can do is to be sure to have your pet spayed or neutered and the worse thing you can do is offer an unaltered pet “free to a good home.” We have seen what can happen. Onyx

Meet little Onyx. Onyx is only 2-3 mos old. He was purchased online. Little, did they know, Onyx had been in contact with Parvo. He had never received any vaccines. Thank you to Dr K.J. Goldenberg, Royal Vet for contacting Rosie about this little guy. Unfortunately Parvo is very expensive to treat as it can go either very well and very badly. A lot of pups loose their lives. One vaccine would have helped this pup! Onyx is presently at DMV, Lachine in isolation fighting very hard to get better. He is being fed with a feeding tube, he is also on pain killer and on even more medications. DMV is a 24 hr vet. Pls consider being part of helping Onyx heal! We truly hope he will live to make someone a great pet! We know we also you for a lot of help but we cannot help dogs like Onyx without YOU!
