Abby the Miniature Poodle

About Abby

Abby is a beautiful little poodle who needs to find a home of her own. She can be bashful when first meeting people and needs to slowly warm up to you. Once introduction are done she will be your friend for life. She is great with dogs of all sizes and would actually benefit from having another dog around to keep her company. She is clean in the house if you let her out regularly. She is still Learning to walk on leash and goes in and out of the crate on her own. No attached living for Abby, since she can be very vocal when left alone. Please fill out an application form if you think you can offer Abby her forever home.

Surrenders

Here at Rosie Animal Adoption, we understand that the decision to give up a family pet is not always an easy one and that the dog's best interests are always of paramount importance. Whether you have a family pet or a stray to surrender, please be aware that there are many unscrupulous people who are always on the lookout for unaltered dogs to breed strictly for profit. Dogs kept for this purpose, be it by a “backyard breeder” or “puppy miller,” are usually kept in inhumane conditions that are worse than you can imagine. We get many calls from people who are “in a hurry” to re-home their dogs, claiming that they simply cannot wait. With the increasing number of homeless dogs in the province of Quebec , our resources are always stretched to the limit and we do not always have immediate openings. We would ask that you please be patient when contacting our volunteers to surrender a dog.

We will do our best to help you as quickly as we can, and may also be able to refer you to another group that we are affiliated with, but the most important message here is to proceed very cautiously if you are giving away or selling your dog to someone who may be portraying a private individual. The best thing you can do is to be sure to have your pet spayed or neutered and the worse thing you can do is offer an unaltered pet “free to a good home.” We have seen what can happen.
